Ballynahinch 2XV produced a clinical attacking display to secure an emphatic 61–24 league victory away to Enniskillen 2XV.

Hinch took control during an impressive first half, combining the pace and fluency of their back line with the platform provided by the pack. They reached the interval 33–7 ahead after five tries and four conversions.

Adam Bennett crossed twice, while Dan Bennett, Ryan Halpin and Harry McKeown also touched down. McKeown added four conversions to complete a highly productive opening 40 minutes for the visitors.

Enniskillen responded quickly after the restart with a try, but Hinch soon restored their momentum. Alex Topping crossed around 10 minutes into the half and Harry McKeown converted to make it 40–12.

The hosts struck again five minutes later, reducing the deficit to 40–17, before Alex Topping completed a rapid hat-trick with further tries around the 20- and 25-minute marks. Harry McKeown converted both as Hinch moved decisively clear at 54–17.

Hinch then produced one of the scores of the afternoon, turning over possession near their own 22 before Daniel Bennett and Alex Topping combined in a sweeping counter-attack. The converted try extended the lead to 61–17.

There was plenty to admire without the ball as well. Excellent defence forced another turnover late in the contest, with Harry McKeown clearing the danger and relieving sustained home pressure.

Enniskillen continued to compete and their outstanding number seven eventually found a way through for a deserved consolation score, bringing the final score to 61–24.

Enniskillen’s powerful pack posed a stern challenge, but Hinch matched that physicality and repeatedly released their backs, whose handling and support play proved decisive.

Lewis Connolly supplied a number of excellent assists, while the returning Connor Gibson was another welcome presence. Nacho Cladera also delivered an industrious 70-minute shift.

There was also a strong family theme to the Hinch side, with three sets of brothers on the pitch – Bennett, McKeown and McCavery.

Most importantly, Hinch emerged without any reported injuries and with an impressive away win built on clinical finishing, committed defence and a fine collective effort.
