Ballymacarn Park has been a huge part of my life for over 40 years and it therefore gives me great pleasure to welcome all visitors in this the 2025/2026 season. We pride ourselves in being a community club, so whether you are here to walk the dog or here to roar support for your side, you are all very welcome. To become President of Ballynahinch is both a tremendous honour and a distinct privilege; my overriding emotion is one of gratitude.
To our senior teams, and in particular our Club Captain, Clayton Milligan, I wish every success; let’s build on last season. To our ladies’ teams, I hope your development continues; and especially to our thriving minis and youth sections, may you continue to flourish. You are the players and fans of the future. To our coaches, you all have the club’s immense gratitude, from the volunteer coaches in the minis who give of their time week in and week out, to the senior team ably led again by Adam Craig. It is the coaches who improve the strength, skill, and ability of all the players and we are grateful.
Sponsorship is vital for every club and our principal sponsor, Motis, is supporting us again for the twelfth consecutive year. Thank you, Paddy Hutley and Motis. Thank you sincerely to all our generous sponsors and their unwavering support; I would urge everyone to use our sponsors as often as they can.
Vital too are the volunteers without whom the club could simply not operate, from the ones manning the car park to those maintaining the grounds, from the ones maintaining the clubhouse to the administrators, thank you all.
Our fantastic supporters travel throughout Ireland to lend their support, and I thank them most sincerely. Their vocal support is greatly appreciated, and needed, by the players.
In this our 71st season, on behalf of the club I extend the hand of friendship to all who read this – make yourselves at home.
